Probably the best vegan restaurant in Rotterdam

Vegan Restaurants are in a boom for a few years now but still, it can get difficult to find one which nails the flavours. But I think I did find one perfect Vegan Restaurant in Rotterdam. Ok, I am sure there are many cafes and restaurants there which serve amazing food. But in my limited time there I could go to only a few and this particular vegan restaurant just won my heart. Out of all the vegan restaurants that I have been to in many cities HappyFoodandHealth probably is the best, an experience I cannot forget. Hence I could not help myself but write a blog post about it (Yes, it was that good!!).

Location of HappyFoodAndHealth in Rotterdam

This charming restaurant located at Nieuwe Binnenweg 200D, 3021 GL Rotterdam near Delfshaven (the old part of Rotterdam). It has a cute artsy decor which attracted us while wandering on the streets there. The moment you step inside, the forest-like interiors just take your breath away. Happy Food and Health have definitely put a lot of effort to make this place lovable to all the customers.

The sitting couches, tables, high ceiling, green plants have a forest-like theme to them. They have also made sure to amp up the environment with the perfect background music playlist. It is very tastefully done and without doubt, makes up for the perfect ambiance.

Now talking about the hero – the food of course which is so delicious made with freshest ingredients that you won’t get enough of it. With the entire menu being plant-based, gluten-free and refined sugar-free, they have ensured that there is no compromise on the quality of food. I found the menu very interesting as they serve kebabs, koftas, open wraps along with salad bowls, burgers, pizza, pancakes, cakes. Also for the drinks, they have lots of options from coffee to smoothies, ginger beer, and even “nice” cream bowls.

We had two main dishes. The kebab plate which is served with rice, a side of grilled veggies, tomato chutney, salad, and a garlic yogurt dip. Another one was the lasagne with salad and yogurt dip as well. OMG, the flavours just exploded and it was like a festival in our mouth and tummies. Every bite took us straight to the food heaven and I am salivating this moment even writing about it. We finished off our fabulous meal with a decadent chocolate brownie cake.

I have to admit this restaurant is on the pricy side as our 2 main dishes along with 2 mocktails,1 dessert to eat and 2 small cookies to go cost us around 60 euros. But I think it is worth it as the food is top-notch. It was an experience that I won’t forget for a very very long time. Also if I happen to be in Rotterdam again, I will no doubt visit this restaurant again!

I will end this post by requesting all the readers that if you ever visit the Netherlands, take my word- Eat at this Vegan Restaurant in Rotterdam and thank me later!
